Mural
Based on an illustration titled Hanging In, this mural was edited to reflect the client’s Iranian heritage. The piece is a literal window of reflection and freedom for women with her hair filling the space in protest reclaiming a women’s autonomy.
The piece measures 9 feet x 9 feet and lives in a permanent residence in Dumbo.

Honoring Iranian
culture
When adapting the previous illustration, the arches were edited to be more pointed in alignment with Iranian architecture. Mount Damavand was added as the mountain in the background, and a Sarv tree can be found in the smaller window.

The clients, Shiva and Hakha helped prep and prime the entire wall, while Shiva assisted in the transfer and mural painting.
